Hello everyone, I’m Sherri, founder of SlimlineUk, a mother and wife. I started this brand after my personal experience with diastasis recti following the birth of my daughter.

Diastasis recti is a common condition during pregnancy and postpartum, where the abdominal muscles (the six-pack) separate due to stretching. This separation can cause the belly to stick out or bulge, even months or years after giving birth.

As part of my recovery, my physiotherapist recommended tummy binding - wearing compression garments - to help close the gap between my muscles, along with specific exercises.

When I had a special occasion coming up, I searched for shapewear to wear as a compression garment under my dress. To my surprise, I struggled to find anything that met my needs. I wanted shapewear that offered the right amount of tummy compression and was comfortable, but everything I found either looked like granny knickers (sorry, grandma!) or kept rolling down.

In my search for the perfect shapewear, I discovered that a lot of women complained about their shapewear rolling down and others felt their’s did not give them the right compression, which was exactly how I felt.

After conducting a more in-depth research on the shapewear market and with my experience in fashion, I made the decision to work on my own brand of shapewear!

I wanted something that looked as beautiful as lingerie, feels good to wear, comfortable yet firming and most importantly, Shapewear That Does Not Roll Down! I researched the materials to use, the designs and technology for a long period of time before launching SlimlineUk.  

As women, our bodies go through so many changes - pregnancy, postpartum, monthly hormones, so, I wanted us to have something beautiful and effective that supported us during those changes whenever we needed it.
